I’m Katheryn, but most people call me Kat. I love everything about editing. I love collaborating with directors and producers to make their vision come to life. I love crafting performance and finding that perfect piece of music for a scene. I love getting into the nitty gritty detailed work that turns good films into great ones. I’m a perfectionist in my work and a chill, calm-under-pressure person to spend time with in the bay.

I came up in editing through the indie world before expanding to scripted television and studio features. I learned to wear different hats when needed, working as a director and producer in addition to editing. Having on set experience and understanding all moving parts of a film makes me an editor who can bridge the gap between production and post. Independent filmmaking taught me to stay calm under pressure, get scrappy when needed and most of all, stay positive and solution focused at all times. In a nutshell, I will make your film better and we’ll have fun doing it.

In addition to features and tv, I have experience producing, directing and editing commercials, music videos, branded entertainment, short films, and social media.
